Question from Rachelle Haid
This month we installed service to a customer who has a volume discount. This installation caused them to meet a threshold where they will get a larger discount on every active service that they have with us. Should we count the increased discount in net installs.
Answer:
Since we define net installs as the change in billable run rate from one month to the next, a change in volume discount should also be counted. We have 3 categories that are graphed -
-
Gross Installs
-
Gross Disconnects
-
Other
A change in volume discount should be graphed in “Other” and if the change was material, a callout should be placed on the graph to provide information on this event.
