Well, that might be an exaggeration, but SnagIt is one of my favorite things.
SnagIt lists the top uses:
- Show how software settings are supposed to look
- Add arrows, highlights and callouts to images to make them instructive
- Take a user step-by-step through a program
- Send images simultaneously to the printer, a file and the Clipboard
- Grab any section of a Web site
- Create impressive images for PowerPoint slides – and even make them interactive
- Capture text that you can’t obtain with cut and paste
- Create straightforward, custom handouts with up-to-date images
- Easily add company logos or other branding elements to presentations
- Record short video clips of onscreen activity for training purposes
- Capture evidence of online digital crimes
- Snag an image from an MPEG-4 video stream
- Take a screenshot of a newly developed Web page to share before publishing
- Easily obtain graphs, charts, and informative graphics from the Web
- Collect, document and archive digital images
- Simultaneously collect every graphic on a Web site
- Insert CAD images into programs like PowerPoint, Word, etc., so all users can see them
- Add clickable links to your screenshots
- Obtain screen capture capabilities from within the Microsoft Office Suite
In later blogs, I will show how I use SnagIt on a daily basis to increase productivity. For now, TechSmith offers a 30 day free trial, once you try it, you’ll be hooked.
