Zayo Bandwidth - New Rule - Gross Sales

This post is for Rachelle Haid …

The end of the month is the busiest time for the service delivery team.  They are tasked with installing services to meet CRD’s (Customer Request Dates) AND reviewing and accepting/validating new orders that come in from the sales team.

With the goal of alleviating some of the workload in the last week of month, we’ve changed our definition of a Gross Sale.

Previous Rule:

To be counted as a sale in a month, the order had to be signed by the customer AND accepted by service deliverly in that calendar month.

New Rule:

To be counted as a sale in a month, the order had to be signed by the customer in that month and accepted by service deliverly on or before the 2nd business day of the following month.

By spreading peak workload across more days, we believe that productivity and accuracy will continue at high levels, even when our order volume increases.

You can view Zayo’s definitions here.
