You probably know how to view multiple Excel files at the same time. (Select Window from the toolbar, then Arrange) and excel displays the files tiled, horizontal, vertical, or cascade,
Sometimes it’s useful to view multiple worksheets at the same time. You can visually compare data or easily build formulas referencing the data shown on different worksheets.
First - create a new window for each worksheet that you would like to view. For example, if you want to view 4 worksheets at once, create 4 new windows
- Select Window from the Toolbar
- Select New Window, repeat until all new windows are created
Next, arrange the worksheets
- Select Window from the Toolbar
- Select Arrange (to bring up the Arrange Windows menu)
- Select Windows of active workbook
That’s it - you can now view and work with all worksheets at the same time.
To close the extra windows later, just click the red X in the upper right hand corner of each extra window.
