Free Personal Internet Assistant, Pageonce

Pageonce.com launched publicly with $1.5M in funding on June 2, 2008.  Pageonce unifies information from user’s internet accounts and displays that information in a personalized homepage.

According to Mark Hendrickson at Techcrunch, the top internet accounts set up by users …

currently include Gmail, Facebook, Yahoo Mail, LinkedIn, MySpace, Hotmail, Amazon, AT&T, Netflix, Flickr, Skype, American Express, and Ebay. I’m told that 50% percent of people have set up financial accounts, despite the security concerns that many commenters expressed on my first post (PageOnce assures us that it actively monitors against ID theft and fraud, and uses military level security standards).

Here’s what Pageonce says they can do for you:

Pageonce - the free Personal Internet Assistant - has become a lifesaver to thousands of people just like you. With Pageonce you will:

  • Always have a clear financial picture of bank balances, credit card limits, investments
  • Never go over cell phone minutes or text limits again by getting usage alerts
  • Get Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Gmail all at the same time
  • Protect kids from inappropriate online contact & activity by monitoring their accounts
  • Track purchases from Amazon, eBay and Costco
  • Manage all family members’ frequent flyer accounts from one place
  • Know what’s coming next from Netflix and be the first to get the latest new release
  • Cure password amnesia forever by linking directly to all accounts from Pageonce
  • Defend against identity theft & online fraud by being aware of account statuses in real time
  • Avoid late fees by knowing when bills are due and paying them on time
  • Increase the security of your Internet accounts by assigning different usernames and passwords to each account and managing them from Pageonce
  • Have the ability to call customer service for any account provider with the click of a mouse right from

I signed up for Pageonce yesterday, and received this email  today:

Hopefully you’ve begun to add your internet accounts to Pageonce and now seen how we can simplify your internet experience.

Pageonce is easy to set up and easy to use. Our Add Account wizard shows you the most popular accounts in each category. Just click on a provider logo and type in your username and password. Pageonce instantly retrieves key account information and makes it visible in your Pageonce account. It’s that easy.

Then, on a daily basis, we update your account information and let you know about key changes to your account with our alerts. Some popular alert examples are: expiring miles, approaching credit limit reminders, payment reminders, travel itinerary updates and cell usage updates.

The more accounts you add to Pageonce, the more value you will find in our service. Remember it only takes 10 seconds to add an account.

We are working hard to expand our services each day and hope that you visit us soon at www.Pageonce.com to add some accounts and instantly improve your internet experience.

Don’t forget to tell all your friends about Pageonce! Go to www.Pageonce.com to get started today.

The Pageonce Team

I think this is a great idea … I’m not sure about putting my financial info here yet.  With funding of only $1.5M, I’m not sure that they can handle the lawsuits if identities are stolen.
