Use the selection arrow to select multiple objects in Excel

In PowerPoint, using the selection arrow is as simple as holding down the left mouse button and selecting an area on the screen.  In Excel you need the Drawing Toolbar to select multiple objects with the selection tool.

First, make sure the Drawing Toolbar is selected.  Click View on the toolbar, then select Drawing.

Click the white arrow on the Drawing menu to start selecting objects.
