Google Chrome is out of Beta

If you haven’t tried Google Chrome yet, this week is the time.  Google Chrome announced:

In just 100 days, we have reached more than 10 million active users around the world (on all seven continents, no less) and released 14 updates to the product. We’re excited to announce that with today’s fifteenth release we are taking off the “beta” label!

Click here to download Google Chrome.  Don’t forget to click the box that will Help make Google Chrome better by automatically sending usage statistics and crash reports to Google.

A few key features:

  • Search from the address bar: Type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and web pages.
  • Thumbnails of your top sites:Access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed from any new tab.
  • Private browsing: Open an incognito window when you don’t want to save your browsing history.

  1. It takes some getting used to … but I agree. It’s faster and it works on Java sites that Firefox doesn’t work on.
