Returning to the workforce after an extended leave can be daunting. Whether you took that leave to care for small children, an ailing parent or to retire - re-entry into the workforce is difficult, especially with the rate of change in technology.
Sara Lee rolled out a program called Returnships to address this segment of active job seekers.
The program is designed to provide opportunities for mid-career individuals re-entering the workforce after having been away for a number of years. Designed as internships for experienced professionals, Returnships@Sara Lee allows individuals to re-engage with the corporate world through flexible, meaningful work while also “testing the waters” prior to exploring permanent - likely flexible - roles. Returnships@Sara Lee individuals will also participate in relevant business, industry, job-specific and technology education.
