
The hiring process for new employees takes a lot of time. For good reason, you want to hire someone who will be a great fit in your organization.
In tough economic times, candidates have started posting video resumes. I think this is a great idea. It saves the interviewer and the candidate time in the pre-screen process.
Check out the site that CareerBuilder is using for Video Resumes.
After watching a few video resumes, my advice is to remember you are not a professional actor. Your tape should be natural and reflect exactly what the interviewer would see if you came in for an “in person” interview. Thus, you shouldn’t read from notecards, or try to rhyme like Dr. Seuss.
