A few days ago, I was asked if we send people to off-site training courses to learn PowerPoint. They explained that these courses could be very valuable as a refresher for employees who have not used PowerPoint recently or a quick learn for those who had never used PowerPoint.
My answer was, “No. The reason we don’t send people to take classes is because they are available for free online.”
Understanding how to use Microsoft products is generally a requirement for any white collar job. If you don’t know the basics of how to use Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access, you should take the time to go through these free training courses.
