President Obama launched a new website where we can track where the money associated with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is being spent.
There’s a great interactive map that shows the estimated effect on jobs in any given state. If you click on Colorado, you’ll see 60,000 jobs created or saved in the next 2 years.
The mission of the website:
- Education: Explain the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act;
- Transparency: Show how, when, and where the money is spent;
- Accountability: Provide data that will allow citizens to evaluate the Act’s progress and provide feedback.
I’m interested in how the site will track progress …
My only beef with the website is that there is no place for comments. For real communications, you have to let the people be heard.
