While it’s fun to be popular, some of your friends might prefer to stay private. It seems strange to me that individuals can’t choose whether or not their photo shows up under their Friends’ Friend Box … but with Facebook’s settings, protecting your Friends’ privacy is up to you.
To modify the visibility of your friends, visit the Profile Privacy page.
Once you’ve created your groups, you can edit your privacy settings. Look in the upper right corner of Facebook, hover over Settings, then click Privacy Settings.
When you click on your profile:
This menu appears:
Navigate down to the setting which says “Friends” and then modify the setting to whatever is right for you. To exclude everyone from seeing your friends, you will need to create a Friend group that contains all of your Friends, and add that group to the “Except These People” box.
