There are three types of sales people:
- The Hunter - A hunter goes out each morning looking for the big deal that will earn the high commission. A hunter is an expert prospector, and is fabulous at “cold calling” - knowing exactly how to get the appointment and how to convert the prospect to a sale. Once the kill is made (closed the sale) the hunter loses interest preferring to go off after bigger game.
- The Farmer - A Farmer is more patient, spending months, even years, developing a relationship before closing the sale. Once the sale is closed a farmer will continue to grow the relationship, providing great service and expecting continued sales from the same customer.
- The Order Taker - An order taker simply waits by the phone for the customer to ring with an order. An order taker will not want to earn commission, preferring to have a basic salary with no risk at all.
If you are a Hunter, there is nothing more important than generating great sales leads. And if you are a Hunter, you don’t have the personality type that is happy compiling your own mailing leads. And frankly, it’s a waste of your talent. Your time would be better spent finding a company that specializes in finding and organizing leads.
There are companies, like American Heritage Data Corporation that provide quality mailing lists, telemarketing lists, and marketing lists. If you check out their website, you might be surprised to learn that American Heritage Data Corporation is widely recognized as one of the most dynamic mortgage mailing list companies in the country.
