Solve a Rubik’s Cube in 20 moves or less

A few years ago, my son received a Chicago Bear’s Rubik’s Cube as a gift.  He’s played with it off an on over the years … but has never been able to solve it.  The best advice that I could give him was that we could take it apart or steam the stickers off. (Don’t judge me - it worked in the 80’s).

Anyway, on Sunday he brought me the Rubik’s cube and it was solved.  After checking to see if he’d followed my advice, I declared him a “genius” and was getting ready to reserve a room at MIT. The prospect of being shipped off to Cambridge caused him to confess.

iPhone/iTouch has an app called CubeCheater.  It is pretty amazing … Kociemba is a genius!

  2. really, they can make an app that solves it but can’t give us the basic algorithms to do it. I’m so mad, I’d love to solve the cube in 6 moves. Microsofts simply keeping all the good stuff to themselves

    2. I can't believe this on May 31st, 2010 at 9:56 am
